A Possible Dream?
Written by admin on September 29, 2009
You know, one thing a lot of people wouldn’t suspect about me is that I absolutely love Las Vegas. I remember the first time I went as a little kid…I was instantly attracted to the beautiful buildings and stunning lights. Little did I know the fun I had as a kid would only be multiplied as I got older. As I continued to travel to Las Vegas, I couldn’t help but to think of how I’d love to live there. The great thing about living in Las Vegas (compared to here) is that the Luxury Homes In Las Vegas are a lot cheaper and actually affordable, especially in this current economy. I was actually possibly considering a second home in the Vegas area (nothing too huge by any stretch) and really liked the new Tuscany Las Vegas development. The Las Vegas Luxury Condos are really something to be seen and the prices are pretty affordable for me. With Vegas only being about a 4 hour drive from here, it actually makes a lot of sense to have it as a second home for myself. And to offset the costs, I’m thinking I can just rent it out during the times I’m not there much like a timeshare since people are always wanting to go to Vegas. What do you guys think!?

Toyota & Lexus Recall Cars
Written by admin on September 29, 2009
Drivers of 3.8 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles are being advised to remove the driver’s side floor mat as it could hold the accelerator down and cause the car to accelerate uncontrollably.
The advisory comes in the wake of a fiery crash in Santee that killed four people, including the family of a California Highway Patrol officer. Investigators found a driver’s side floor mat in the wreckage and believe it may have played a role in the Aug. 28 crash. The exact cause of the wreck has not been determined.
You’ll remember that, that particular crash happened in Santee and just a few days later another non fatal incident occurred. So sad.

Liquor Lincense In Vista Just Got A Bit Tougher
Written by admin on September 29, 2009
Spotting fake identifications, underage drinkers and the overserved isn’t always easy.
Now, business owners who serve liquor in Vista may be required to take a course to help them spot them.
A new proposal offers the business owners a choice to take the course or lost their licenses. The training would be conducted at no charge by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, with the goal of curbing the number of alcohol-related deaths around the county and throughout the state.
Five other cities in San Diego County have already imposed a similar ordinance and Vista plans to model its program on what those cities have done.

There Is Nothing Wrong With A Loan!
Written by admin on September 29, 2009
Ugh…why do people continually think that loans are bad? I guess they get their bad reputation from people who don’t pay them back, but, it’s pretty frustrating. A good friend of mine today asked me for some money and said he’d pay me back when he got paid here in two weeks. Now, I have no problem giving him some money…no problem at all, but, he wanted like 3,000 bucks. I don’t mind loaning the guy a couple hundred but 3,000 bucks is a lot of money out of my pocket. And you know what they say…never give money to friends or non-immediate family as you’ll never see it again. So, I explained to that while I could help out a little, I couldn’t afford to give him all 3,000 bucks and that he should look into getting a zip 19 payday loan. That way he’ll be able to get the money he needs and have ample time to pay it back…and it also wont possibly strain our relationship. The funny thing is, I didn’t even ask him what he needed the loan for…but with him, the possibilities are endless. I’m assuming it had to do with late bills or something on that order, so, hopefully he’ll get some help at Zip 19 Cash.

Handheld Devices For My Helpers
Written by admin on September 29, 2009
As many of you know I’m in the middle of creating a local little league here and one of the volunteers told me that he thinks we should get some type of hand held communication devices so all of the volunteers can communicate on game days,e tc. I thought it was a great idea. So, I’ve been looking for a device that will do a variety of things, not just use a push to talk feature. Last night I found the Motorola-Symbol MC75 handheld device that does a number of things including push-to-talk, integrated GPS with superior sensitivity and tracking capabilities, 1D and 2D barcode scanning, a high resolution 2 megapixel autofocus color camera, 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN (WLAN), Bluetooth and IrDA connectivity. A perfect little tool for all of them!

Airsoft Shotguns For A Hunt!
Written by admin on September 28, 2009
One thing I try to do once a month is do something with my Stepdad. This weekend we’re going to a baseball game but I’ve been trying to think of something else to do in the next few weeks since we’re running out of ideas. One thing that popped into my head earlier today (thanks to a suggestion from a friend) was to go get some airsoft shotguns and we can go hunting up in the mountains here. I know some of you might be wondering “wait, they have mountains at the coast” but yes, we actually do – well, at least where I live. It’s just about an hour drive to the snow from here so we’re pretty centrally located. We used to hunt when I was younger but we haven’t went for years so I thought it might be a bit of nostalgia for us to take a trip up to the mountains. First though, we’re going to need to practice because I haven’t shot any type of gun in years nor has he. I think Airgun Depot will have the tools we need to get our trip under the way and keep it pretty inexpensive, so, I’ll see if he’s interested this weekend at the game. I hope so!

A Dinnerware Gift Set…For Me?
Written by admin on September 28, 2009
Hah, okay, I think I might get a little sneaky here and kill two birds with one stone. I have two problems. My first problem is that it’s going to be my Grandmother’s birthday coming up and I really have no idea of what to get her. She loves cooking so I’ve been looking at getting her some dinnerware sets. But, she has a lot of those already and I actually need a dinnerware set worse than she does. So, I’m thinking I might actually buy myself the dinnerware set. But, that leaves me still stuck in a problem of what to get her. Now, she loves everything to do with cooking and baking as I said before, so, I’ve been thinking about getting her some Baker’s Secret pots and pans. She’s really old school and she still uses most of the pans she did when she got married back in the 1960’s and I’ve been telling her for years she needs some new stuff! She agrees, but, she never goes and buys any…so it looks like I’m gonna have to do it for her. I looked around a bit and found some great stuff (cheap prices too!) on ShopWorldKitchen.com so I think that’s where I’ll grab my dinnerware set and her pots.

A Limousine In Dallas
Written by admin on September 28, 2009
So, if you recall a few days ago I mentioned a good buddy of mine and I were going to be traveling to the Texas area here in a few weeks because he won some basketball tickets. Well, it just so happens that is also around the time of my anniversary. So, while I’m in Big D, I’m going to be needing some a Dallas limousine service because I’m going to bring my girlfriend along for part of the trip. The plan is to fly her out the day before we get to Dallas after we visit San Antonio, that way she wont have to take part in the whole trip and it’ll be a surprise when she gets in Dallas. She has no idea why she’s going to flying to Dallas – it’ll all be a secret. She just knows I’ll be there to pick her up. I’m going to set up reservations at a nice restaurant, take her around the city, etc…and I need a good limo service to do so. I know that G&G Limousine Executive Transportation Services is highly regarded by some of my friends who live in the Dallas area so I’ll be going with them. Now it’s just getting the reservations locked up and we’re good to go!

Web Host Reviews
Written by admin on September 27, 2009
In the next few weeks here I’m going to start work on setting up my new blog/website for the local little league I’m setting up here in town. Now, I’ve been putting this on hold for a little bit because I wanted to find a host that I was comfortable with. I’ve recently ran into some problems when it comes to hosts, so, I want to make sure I find one I’m happy with. Currently I’ve been looking at drupal web hosting. They seem to have some good customer service, which is very important to me but I need to make sure before I take the plunge. So, with that said, I now turn to one of my favorite websites on the interweb, webhostingrating.com. If you do any type of work on the internet they are a must bookmark for you. They review all sorts of web hosts so you know what you’re getting yourself into before you get stuck with a new hosting company. So many times in the past I ended up buying a hosting package only to get horrible customer service or continued downtime on a particular companies servers. But now with WHR, they provide honest reviews of almost every hosting company on the net which is critical to any entrepreneur.
