Cigars For Christmas
Written by admin on October 18, 2009
One thing I always struggle with is buying presents for my Grandparents…they’re just so difficult to buy for. They ask me for money, but I like to give them something to open for the holidays, you know? And I know you’re looking at me weird for mentioning the holidays but it’s getting to be about that time. Just think about it – almost less than two months to get your Christmas presents all purchased. I like to get my stuff out of the way early, so, I’ve been looking to find something for my Grandfather.
One thing that I’ve been thinking about getting him is some cigars. I know he prefers to smoke them now over tobacco and pipes but I do admit I’m not that knowledgeable about cigars so I’ve been doing a bit of research on them. One website I found, BestCigarPrices.com has a bunch of great reviews for not only their great products but for their cheap prices. Like I said, I don’t know a ton about cigars but I do know that they can be very pricey so it’s nice to see that BestCigarPrices.com has really affordable prices on some of the top brands. Not only that, they’ll ship it right to his door so I don’t need to worry about buying it and then taking it to the post office…it’ll all be done for me! Sweet!

Saving Money On Car Insurance
Written by admin on October 18, 2009
Yesterday afternoon I went to the beach with a few of my friends and we got to talking about life and the subject of car insurance came up. I’m not sure how, but, it did. Anyway, as we started talking they started telling me about their rates and as the did I began to realize how much more money I was paying compared to them. Now, I understand the rates will vary on a variety of items but I felt I needed to check it out when I got home and I did just that. I went looking for some Free Auto Insurance Quotes and found a lot of good reviews and information about PremiumAutoInsurance.net so I used their service. After I filled out a few of the short quote forms I realized, yea, I was totally getting ripped off on my current car insurance. I found out that I could be saving a good 50-80 dollars a month if I switched to a different provider. Seriously. That’s a ton of stinking money I could be saving every month, especially in this economy. I’m so glad I checked that out. So, it looks like the little green Gecko from Geico Insurance is the way for me to go.

Sneaky Girlfriend & Her Shopping
Written by admin on October 16, 2009
So I was just talking to my girlfriend a few minutes ago and she told me she needed to get onto the computer to look for some dresses. Now, me being the curious guy I am, I thought I’d ask why. Well, apparently, we are going to a wedding this coming weekend and she doesn’t have anything to wear….and I guess she wasn’t going to tell me until the last minute since she knew I’d throw a fit about going…haha. Anyway, beyond the dresses she was looking at, she also told me she’s looking for a nice piece of jewelry to go with the dress to complete the outfit.
Honestly though, I’m not really all that concerned with going…it is for one of her good friends after all who I’ve known for quite some time. And, being the nice guy I am, I think I’ll pay the bill for my girlfriend once she finds the dress and jewelry she’s looking for. I think she deserves it, even if she was totally going to blindside me about going to the wedding later this week…lol
She’s still looking for dresses but hopefully she finds one here soon and we need to get it shipped to the house quickly! Hopefully she finds the jewelry from the same place.

Start Your Own Website
Written by admin on October 16, 2009
One question people are always asking me to help them with is to create or help them start a website. I mean, really, it is a daunting task for somebody new but if I created a website for everybody who asked me to do so, I’d have no time. So, I wanted to go and look for an alternative for them and I think I found it. All of the people who are always asking me to help them create their website can now start a free website with a WYSIWYG editor which is amazing. A WYSIWYG stands for “What you see is what you get”, which means there is no nasty HTML or anything like that needed. You simply tell it what to do – pretty much like sending an e-mail and changing colors of your text, etc. It’s really that easy. I can’t recommend it enough. They will host it for you…you have 300MB of space to add videos and pictures to your website, they have over 300 templates so they’ll have something you like and it’s really just a great software overall. And as I stated earlier, it’s most importantly….FREE! You can’t really ask for anything more.
I even set one up…check out a screenshot of what I did in about 5 minutes. Seriously. That’s all it took to get it started!

Need To Hire A Car
Written by admin on October 15, 2009
Hah, that’s a weird thing to say, is it not? Hire a car? But really, I do need to. I just got word today that I’ll be traveling to Portugal in a few weeks (start of November) for work but that I’d need to rent a car. Well, if you know me, one of the things I really don’t like is driving in traffic and there is just no way I’m going to drive in Portugal. I’ll be downtown, so, I can walk most places but I need somebody to get me to the airport and back and I have no interest in taking a cab. I guessI like the finer things in life. haha
So, it’s time for me to look for a Car Hire Portugal service so I can avoid all the stresses of driving downtown.

My AC Failed. Again.
Written by admin on October 15, 2009
It was really hot here today…low 90’s…and you know it was a perfect time for my AC to go out right. Doesn’t it always seem to happen like that? When you really need something, it just fails…and today is no different. So, with that said, I spent a good part of my afternoon looking for a Toyota AC Compressor and found….you guessed it, nothing. I decided I’d come home to look for an a/c compressor on the advice of my buddy and found one (at a very great price) through DiscountACParts.com thankfully. I could have got one from my dealer, but, it would have cost me about an extra $200 bucks…so, no thanks!

Time For Address Labels
Written by admin on October 15, 2009
It’s getting to be that time of the year when you’re going to be sending out holiday pictures and letters so I’m going to be needing some address labels. I think they’re really important as they’re the first thing that the person is going to notice when they get the card. The problem with them in the past is that they’ve been so boring and plain. And usually there are like 5-10 designs to pick from. Hello – can I get a little more to pick from? I think this year I’m going to use currentlabels.com to get my labels as I really like their broad selection and lower prices.

Compare Your Rent!
Written by admin on October 15, 2009
You know what I often wonder? I wonder if my rent is higher than my neighbors. I’ve always wondered how landlords make up rent prices on apartments. Why am I any more or any less than the guy living next door? So, curious as I was, I went looking for a way to compare your rent with your neighbors and found a cool little tool from RentJungle.com that lets you do just that. And? It’s the same…thankfully. hah

What Do You Know About Medicare?
Written by admin on October 13, 2009
Earlier this afternoon my Grandmother gave me a call just to chat which was nice since I hadn’t heard from her in a while and it was during a time of the day that I needed a break from work. During our conversation we talked about the normal stuff, family, and just life in general but a little while into the conversation it got onto politics and all of this health care reform. Now, I’m the first to admit all of this confuses the heck out of me but I guess I’m not alone. My Grandmother started telling me about her Medicare Part D deductible but I really wasn’t sure what that was in all honesty so I had to ask What is Medicare Part D? She informed me what it was and how beneficial it could be for her and millions of other seniors out there and she then proceeded to inform me about the benefits of Medicare Part D.
After learning about it a little more, I think it’s definitely something we as a society need to focus on and lead the way for quality medicare drug plan enrollments. I did a little research on it this afternoon and found what I was looking for, so, I’ll pass the info onto her next time we chat!

Learn The Computer – It’s So Important
Written by admin on October 12, 2009
I just got a text message from a buddy of mine who was looking for a job at some banking firm informing me that he was not hired for the job. He says it’s because he had a poor interview but I know it’s due to his lack of computer skills. I’ve told him countless times that he needs to take some computer classes, you know? Take some microsoft outlook training classes. Some microsoft word training classes…some plain general computer classes. He is just not good with computers or computer programs but he wont teach himself. It’s so important in this day and age to have proper knowledge of computers to get ahead in the work-force.
