A Injury Lawyer

Written by admin on October 6, 2009

So, it’s pretty early in the morning for me here…and one of the first things I do is I check my e-mail. As I’m going through, I see this e-mail from one of my college buddies I haven’t spoken to in a long time! He moved to the Pittsburgh area about 3 or 4 years ago and started up a construction business. Anyway, with the recession hit he lost his business and had to go start working for a rival firm.

So, as I’m reading this e-mail I start to take note that it doesn’t sound so good. To make a long story short, as he was working on a building a mini skyscraper, a crane let loose a piece of concrete and it landed straight on his back. So now he’s in the process of looking for a pittsburgh injury lawyer and I don’t blame him! It put him out of work and the company he was working for more or less told him it’s too bad and all he can do is collect unemployment now. But he can’t even stand up for more than 5 minutes and you know how crazy those lines are at the unemployment office. He simply just needs to find a good pittsburgh injury attorney and take those guys to court!

Precious Metal Refining

Written by admin on October 5, 2009

I’ve mentioned this before, but I grew up in the Central Valley of California which was pretty famous for the Gold Rush in the late 1800’s. But, it’s not like the gold just stopped after that. While it slowed down, there was (and still is) a huge gold (and even silver) industry in the area. My Grandfather used to work in the industry and he would always bring me small flakes and even small nuggets as gifts. Now, at the time, you wouldn’t think they would be worth much but he did this a lot and now I have a ton of small little pieces and flakes that are really of no use to me. I’ve been trying to find a place that will give me fair value for my gold (and some silver) but it hasn’t been easy. It’s really tough to find a good place that does Precious Metal Refining, especially since the price of gold has skyrocketed lately. You wonder why you see all those “sell your gold and silver here” type commericials and advertisements? It’s cause you can get a lot of money for your precious metals so if you have some, you should think about selling them like I am.

A Rocky Point Mexico Vacation

Written by admin on October 5, 2009

One thing I’ve been wanting to do lately is go on a vacation. Now, I’m somewhat close to Mexico and it’s pretty cheap to visit there so I think I’m going to make that my official fall travel spot. I’ve been looking for some places to stay and I came across Rocky Point Mexico condos earlier today. One thing I really like about staying in condo’s over hotels is the entire “home” feeling you get with condos. When you stay in a hotel, it feels like, well, a hotel. When you stay in a condo you feel like you’re at home. You don’t have noisy people running up and down stairs all night. You don’t have people walking by your door at odd hours of the night. It’s quiet…it’s much larger than a hotel room and in most cases, it’s no more money. The condo’s offered by Oceano Rentals have full satellite TV as well as kitchens and beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez. I mean, really…could you ask for anything more? It’s sorta like a slice of heaven in my book.

I’m thinking I could do a double date thing as well, bring my girlfriend and have my buddy bring his and we can both split the costs…that way it’ll be super cheap!

Create Your Own Webpage

Written by admin on October 5, 2009

Okay, seriously? I think this might be one of the coolest things ever.

As you know, I’m working on a few websites at the moment, one of which is the website for my local little league I’m setting up. Now, I have a pretty vast knowledge of websites and how to create them. That said, I also know how much work and how difficult they can be to build. One thing I’ve always sorta wished for was a simple way of building a website with all the bells and whistles you want…and today I think I found it. As I was doing a little research, I stumbled upon Shroggle which is this amazing website building tool. It’s incredibly simple and provides such an easy way of building a website which is perfect for steps to starting a small business. You don’t have to have any HTML or web design skills or knowledge, it’s as simple as typing some text and doing a little copy and paste which we all can do. So many businesses are hampered by the inability to have a nice looking website (or the ability to create one at all), or on the other hand, pay some absurd fee to have some premier web design team build one for you. No longer!!! Now you can create your own. You can create your website with a blog, forum, galleries, etc, etc…it’s endless.

Anybody Been To Lexington, SC?

Written by admin on October 4, 2009

I’ve never been but a good friend of mine just got back and was telling me about it. She said it was one of the coolest places she’d ever been to and was seriously thinking about moving there. So, naturally, I had to go check it out. She said she saw a bunch of new Lexington SC Homes For Sale and they were in these beautiful areas with lakes and schools. Really impressive little communities she said. The schools are great, but, being I don’t have any children I was more impressed with the homes on and around the lakes. That’s just begging for some watersports, no? haha.

Looking For a Job?

Written by admin on October 4, 2009

I’m not actively looking for a job, but I know there are a lot of you that are in this rough economy. Have you ever thought about being an assistant? I’ve done it twice and it’s really one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever done. I was helping my friend out who I explained this to and told him to check out Assistantjobs.net to look for an assistant job. I think he’d be really good at it…so hopefully he finds something beneficial.

Need some Jeep Parts

Written by admin on October 4, 2009

So this morning before the football games, I decide I’m going to run down to the donut shop and bring some donuts back for the football party that I hold for my buddies every Sunday. I get everything ready, grab my keys, go start the Jeep and….nothing. I start it again. Nothing. I thought it was the battery, but, nope. So confused as I was, I skipped the whole donut thing and waited for my friends to come over. One of them is a total car maniac and knows all sorts of stuff about cars and he told me I need a new belt. Now, I know I could get it at my dealership but I know it’ll cost me an arm and a leg. So, knowing he knows all about cars, I asked him where I could get some cheap Car Parts. He told me to check out 24/7 parts as they have great prices for Used Car Parts. And the best part is that being they sell Car Parts Online, they have a much greater selection of car parts when compared to my local fix it shops or my dealership. I don’t have to wait 2-3 days for some silly part to come in – they already have it in stock. That’s enough reason for me to shop there…and when combined with their low prices? Sign me up.

Underage Drinking Sting In Encinitis

Written by admin on October 4, 2009

Deputies arrested three people Friday night in an undercover sting operation targeting restaurants that furnish alcohol to underage drinkers, a Sheriff’s Department news release said.

Minors acting as decoys targeted 20 locations in Encinitas, Solana Beach, and Del Mar between 5 and 10 p.m. Friday. Three establishments sold alcohol to those minors, including Harvest Ranch Market on Camino Del Mar in Del Mar, Wahoo’s Taco Fish on North El Camino Real in Encinitas and Today’s Pizza & Salad on Santa Fe Drive also in Encinitas.

Seriously people – there is little worse than drinking and driving. Please do not only respect yourself, but others on the road. Stay safe.

Thoroughbread Club To Get An Extention?

Written by admin on October 4, 2009

The state committee that doles out leases at the Del Mar Racetrack has decided to wait until next year to consider proposals from other groups that may be interested in managing the racing season at the popular seaside venue.

Late last month, the State Race Track Leasing Commission pulled a request for proposals to run racing operations at the track, deciding instead to grant a one-year extension to the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, which has managed the track for 40 years.

14th Annual Blessing At Mission SLR

Written by admin on October 4, 2009

The Mission San Luis Rey Parish honored its patron saint, Francis of Assisi, with an animal blessing and fair Saturday, the 800th anniversary since St. Francis established a new order of friars minor in 1209.

This was the parish’s 14th annual St. Francis Day celebration

After parading through the grounds of the parish, proud pet owners formed lines that stretched around the courtyard for a blessing of their animals.

Young and old carried the furry, the feathered and even the scaly to the Rev. Charles Talley for a sprinkle of holy water and a hushed prayer.

Most of the 200 or so blessed pets were dogs, but there were also a few cats, parakeets, chinchillas, gerbils, hamsters and a salamander.

I thought it was pretty cool! Kinda wild living next to such a big part of history.
