What About A Travel Nurse?
Written by admin on October 20, 2009
Yesterday afternoon I was having a conversation with my Aunt, who is a registered nurse, and we were talking about the state of the economy, jobs, etc. We got on the topic of her job and she mentioned how it’s such a great job because it’s recession proof. Now, I never really put two and two together but she’s right. People don’t stop becoming sick…it’s something that’s always needed, so the job security is always there. However, she lives in a pretty small town and well, she wants to try something different so I told her about travel nursing and asked if she was interested. I told her she should look for some type of travel nursing companies and see if she could find a somewhat local travel nurse job. The great thing about these is, of course the travel, but more importantly because it’s specified and you’re specially trained you actually end up making a lot more money than you would working in a hospital or another establishment. In addition to that, the hours are much more flexible as is your schedule when compared to working at a hospital. Her schedule now is absurd, so, hopefully she looks into this…I think she’d love it.
