Maybe A Stainless Steel Sink?
Written by admin on November 22, 2009
As many of you know, my sink is pretty much shot – I need a new one. It’s been chipping and anytime a pot hits it, it leaves this ugly mark. My mom has a undermount stainless steel sink and has been telling me to get one for a few months now, so, it looks like I might need to – especially with the holidays coming up. Guess Momma was right again, huh?!

So, do any of my readers have any Granite Kitchen Sinks? I just got back from a friends who installed one recently and I have to say, it’s pretty awesome. I’ve had some trouble with my sink so it’s been on my mind lately about getting a new one but I’ve been having trouble deciding. Seeing that brand new granite sink in his house really made me think about getting one…it looked so rich and clean.

I can’t stand anything worse than drunk driving. It’s awful….

Road Rage Arrest in Escondido
Written by admin on November 19, 2009
An Escondido man was arrested after he allegedly fired a gun at the driver of a vehicle in an apparent road-rage incident Wednesday evening, police said.
Witnesses told police they heard gunshots about 6:30 p.m. in the area of Bear Valley Parkway and Hayden Drive.
Witnesses said the driver of a white van pulled over next to a gray truck, got out of the van and fired two rounds towards the truck, said Escondido police Lt. Jim Stuard.
Police found the van at a home on the 500 block of South Hayden Drive and arrested Peter Delgado, 65, of Escondido.
Stuard said the man was charged with felony discharging a firearm. Police found a casing from an expended round in the man’s vehicle and a handgun inside his residence, Stuard said.
Officers were unable to find the driver of the truck or to determine if the person was harmed.
Absurdly crazy. Calm down people.

A Christmas Present For Gramps
Written by admin on November 19, 2009
I know very few of you know my Grandfather, but for those of you who do, you know just how difficult he is to buy for. So, when his birthday or Christmas comes around…it’s like a mild form of torture trying to think of something that he’d like. He doesn’t have a lot of interests past golf, and he’s so knowledgeable about it….you can’t really buy him anything, you know? But the other day I was thinking…when he retired, he got this amazing watch that he just loved. Sadly, he ended up losing it on vacation a few months back so I figured getting him a new nice watch would be a great present. I was looking around and really liked the Kinetic watches that I found. I don’t think I remember him ever loving something so much, so, to find something that is a good replacement for it would be an awesome present, don’t you think?
I’m having a hard time honestly though cause they’re all so nice….and I’m somewhat thinking about buying myself one as well. What? It’s Christmas for me too, right!?!? haha.
I think this is my favorite one for him…I love how smooth and elegant looking it is. Looks so rich! What do you think!?

What do you guys use for your antivirus software? I’ve used Norton in the past, but my subscription just ran out not too long ago and I’m looking for a new one. I really didn’t care for Norton…it slowed my computer down, so I want something new and better. I’m going to look for best antivirus software reviews and see what I can find!

A Christmas Vacation Rental
Written by admin on November 19, 2009
Have you ever seen the movie National Lampoon’s? If so, then you know what my family is like. haha. But seriously though, one thing we always try to do is have some type of a holiday vacation. Now, we try to avoid the week of Christmas and stay in a nice hotel but this year we’re going to go the vacation home rental route. Hotels are just such a pain to me. I’ve stayed in some luxury home rentals before and just love it. You get the feeling of being at home and you don’t have any of the annoying inconveniences of a hotel. Nobody running down the hallways at 4 AM…no slamming doors, and most importantly, everybody is comfortable. I think we’ll be doing a Florida vacation, so, looking for a Florida vacation rental is at the top of our list right now. Personally I’m hoping for a Fort Lauderdale luxury rental!

Christmas Cards
Written by admin on November 19, 2009
Well, it’s getting to be that time of the year. The air is crisp…the nights are cool, and if you listen closely…you’ll hear the honks and horns of local shopping centers full of shoppers. And I can say for sure, I will not be fighting the crowds this year. In past years, I’ve done my photo christmas cards at local stores but this year I’m going to do it online. A friend of mine did her christmas cards online last year and they were beautiful, much nicer than my “store quality” ones. And the selection of images, etc that they have is almost endless…so I’ll be able to pick whatever tickles my fancy!
