Varicose Veins?
Written by admin on December 9, 2009
So my Grandmother is coming down for the Christmas holiday in a couple weeks and she called me this morning telling me about this vein treatment she heard about on TV. Now, she has no computer so she wanted me to check it out for her online to see what it’s all about. I’ve printed about 25 pages worth of info for her when she gets here that she can look over. And when she does get here, there is a tool that will allow you to type in your zipcode and tell you where the closest doctor is for this procedure that will help remove any varicose veins one might have.
Thanks to www.vein-treatment.com for the help.

Thinking Of Getting Married
Written by admin on December 9, 2009
No no, not me (hopes the girlfriend doesn’t read this…haha), but a good buddy of mine and his longtime girlfriend are planning to get married here next year, but, are looking to do so in a cheap way. So, his brother came up with the idea of getting ordained at the universal life church, which I thought was a great idea. He’s always wanted to be an ordained minister so, to be able to do it for free as well as be able to marry his brother and his girlfriend, I thought that was pretty cool and original.

Anybody Heard Of Adblade?
Written by admin on December 9, 2009
Owning as many blogs and websites as I do, I’m always on the lookout for new ad agencies, not only to place on my own blogs/webpages but also to advertise on. The problem is, it’s been pretty difficult in the past to find an ad agency that I can trust. So many get in trouble for click fraud, others just deal with junky clients and it just makes the overall experience poor and not worth my time or money. However, I recently did find Adblade recently and I’m really impressed with their unique ad unit that blends text with images, generating a click through rate twice that of standard display ads. I think it’s going to take off…very revolutionary.

Does Christmas Make You Fat?
Written by admin on December 9, 2009
Kinda an obvious questions, isn’t it? One thing I always stress about is the extra weight I put on during the holiday season. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas and all the yummy food, it’s just begging that I put on some extra pounds. But this year? Nope! Not gonna happen! I’m turning to The Adventures of Larry Leptin to lose weight and keep the pounds off!

Landscape The Yard
Written by admin on December 7, 2009
As many of you know, I just bought a new house not that long ago and I’ve been working my way to fixing up the backyard. When I bought it, it was nothing more than a huge pile of dirt. And now, a few months later it’s still…..a big mound of dirt. Well, sorta. I’ve planted grass but it’s slowly coming along. I guess seed isn’t the way to go but, it’s a ton cheaper than sod. So anyway, that’s that…as far as that goes. But, as I was looking out through the rain today I noticed that there is just too large of a space out there and I need something to break it up. And I know soon as my Mom comes and visits and see’s it, she’ll say the same thing so I’m trying to beat her to the punch…haha
I think it would be really cool to make a small little scene out in the middle of the yard…maybe put in a small (and I mean small) pond or a fountain with a windmill aerator to spice it up. I’ve always had a little thing for the small little garden scenes so I think that would look cool and really make the yard feel a little more quaint.

Summertime Already? Well, Sorta
Written by admin on December 7, 2009
Ha, you wouldn’t know it by the weather today. It’s just storming like crazy. In all honesty, I can’t remember the last time we’ve had this type of storm. I mean, heck, it was snowing at 200 feet elevation earlier. Yes, you read that right…and considering where we’re at, that’s pretty crazy. Did any of you get a chance to play in the snow today? Well, assuming you didn’t get drenched from the insane amount of rain or blow away in the 50 mile per hour wind gusts…haha.
Anyway, even though we are having that storm, the weather analysts this year said we’re going to have a pretty mild winter and that summer would eventually come a bit early here in terms of temps. So, one thing I’ve been looking for, for quite some time is a screen for my bedroom window. I mean, jeez, when it’s a warm day…my window heats up my room like it’s a big oven. I can’t even sleep at night! I’ve been looking around for some type of screen window protection to keep the heat down and I think I found some at http://www.starshade.biz/ so I’m really thrilled about that. I had no idea what a pain it would be to find something!

Stress Has Been Killing Me!
Written by admin on December 7, 2009
Ugh…I don’t know about you, but, I’ve been dealing with a ton of stress lately. Work has been awful and to top that off, I’ve had to get a second job lately just to make ends meat. I’m starting to think there is nothing worse than having to worry about if you’re going to have food on the table, you know? I’m just glad I don’t have any kids right now because if I did, I’d be going crazy worrying about them…it’s hard enough worrying about myself and my girlfriend.
Speaking of, man, I can’t imagine I’m the most fun to be around right now…so, thankfully she’s holding in there. She was telling me about getting some type of help for the stress, you know, calm me down so I’m thinking I might look into a center for work life balance. I know that my Dad actually went to one before as he was always super stressed out and raved about it. And it was safe to say, there was a big difference in his attitude change. Not only that, stress was really getting to him and his health and I’m sure I’m not that far behind, so, it’s something I think I need to do.

It’s Raining – It’s Pouring!
Written by admin on December 7, 2009
A strong winter storm arrived several hours earlier than expected Monday morning, drenching San Diego County and creating difficult driving conditions for commuters on many of the region’s main arteries.
But the worst may be ahead, with a quick-moving cold front expected to blow in about 3 p.m., bringing wind gusts up to 60 mph.
Between midnight and 10 a.m.,121 traffic collisions were reported around the county by the California Highway Patrol. During a normal 24-hour period, there are about 50 to 75 crashes, according to the agency.
So people, for the 105th time….PLEASE slow down if you’re going to be driving. I know you can drive 55 or 60 on normal days, but drop it 15 mph…be safe…buckle up.
Now, should I go out and brave it? See about taking some pictures? I could use Radex Inc. once I’m done so I could have some photo novelties for my pics!

Power Outage In Poway
Written by admin on December 7, 2009
Power has been restored to more than 2,500 residents and businesses in Old Town, Mission Hills, Hillcrest, University Heights, North Park and Normal Heights who coped with a two-hour outage Monday morning.
The outage began at 6:48 a.m. and was restored at 8:47 a.m., a San Diego Gas & Electric official said. The company is still investigating the cause but the official said it may have been weather-related.
About 60 SDG&E customers in parts of Lake Wohlford, Escondido, Bear Valley and Skyline Ranch are still without power after a palm tree frond flew off and hit an overhead electrical wire just before 5:25 this morning. Power is expected to be restored by noon, SDG&E officials said. About 280 customers were initially affected.

Orange Line Trolly Down
Written by admin on December 7, 2009
Passengers riding an Orange Line trolley early Monday experienced about a 30-minute delay when the brakes on a trolley locked up.
The train malfunctioned between the Grossmont and downtown La Mesa stations.
After the problem was fixed, the passengers were taken to the La Mesa station and put onto another train. Really just an awful day for it to go down since it’s just pouring outside. I’m waiting for some cats and dogs to start coming down. haha
