You don’t drink and drive….haha
An Oceanside woman suffered unspecified injuries Saturday when she ran her car into a wall in her garage.
Oceanside Fire Battalion Chief Peter Lawrence said firefighters and paramedics from his department were called to a single-family home in the 5200 block of Colonial Way at 12:11 p.m.
Witnesses said the woman, who was in her late 80s, was driving into her garage when she missed the brake and hit the accelerator, propelling the car into the wall.

Step-Dad’s Birthday
Written by admin on January 31, 2010
Man, you know there are always those one or two people in your family (or friends as well) that are just so hard to buy for? My Grandfather and my Stepdad are my two that drive me nuts when it comes to buying them gifts. My Grandfather loves golf, but, he has everything so I can’t really buy him anything that he doesn’t have. And as far as my Stepdad, he just has no interests – so I just have no clue of what to get him!
The other day though when we were out at the track, he mentioned a few things about my wardrobe…I think he was more or less asking in a nice way for some fashion advice, haha. So, I’m thinking, why not look into getting him some mens clothing, right?! I love my Mom but she’s not the most fashionable for men’s items so I’m thinking I could pick some stuff out and make him look…somewhat hip. haha

Robbery Right Down The Street!
Written by admin on January 29, 2010
A man stole a woman’s purse and fired a Taser-style stun gun at her in a mall parking lot Thursday night, but she wasn’t hurt, an Oceanside police lieutenant said.
The woman was in the parking lot of the Trader Joe’s strip mall at 2570 Vista Way, a little west of that store, when she was approached by the armed thief, Lt. Fred Armijo said. He took her purse, then fired his stun gun’s electrical probes at the victim, missing her, Armijo said.
The thief was described as a black man wearing a beanie and a dark jacket. He was last seen leaving the parking lot in a white minivan driven by another person, Armijo said.
This is quite scary as this is a strip mall that I very frequently use and it’s the second very crazy thing to happen in less than a year. It’s very crazy that it would happen in such a nice area, but, I guess with local access to the freeway so close, it’s perfect for criminals to get away quickly.

State High Court Rules On Predator Law
Written by admin on January 29, 2010
The state Supreme Court ruled yesterday that the state might not be able to indefinitely hold sexually violent predators in jail, as authorized under a 2006 proposition approved by voters.
In a 5-2 decision in a case from San Diego, the court said state prosecutors had to provide more evidence that treating sexually violent predators differently than others who are also held under civil commitment rules — such as mentally disordered offenders — does not violate the equal protection guarantees of the Constitution They sent the case back to San Diego for such a hearing. The court majority did not strike down the measure, known as “Jessica’s Law,” which created a range of regulations dealing with different classes of sexual offenses, from registered sex offenders to the more serious sex predators.
The ruling came in the case of Richard McKee, who had been convicted of committing lewd acts on two girls under 11. In 2007, the San Diego District Attorney’s Office sought to have him committed as a sexually violent predator.

Mobile Marketing?
Written by admin on January 29, 2010
I’ve been trying to think of some new ways to promote my websites and blogs and it’s come to my attention that mobile marketing is really an effective way to do it. I mean really, with all the fancy phones, etc – it’s a great way to promote whatever you need. People always have their phones with them…I think it’s a really smart idea, and one I’m going to look into and hopefully use!

Family Off To Maryland
Written by admin on January 29, 2010
My Grandmother gave me a call today and told me that she and her sister, which I pretty much just refer to as my Aunt (even though she’s not) are going to be going back East on a little trip with a group of girlfriends. She hasn’t really done anything like this before, so, I thought it was cool they were going to go have a good group outing together with their friends. The reason she involved me though is she asked me if I could look into some type of motor coach Maryland situation since her group has got pretty much everything figured out except the transportation to a few events/areas they need to get to. So, I told her I’d give it a quick peek and see if I could find some type of large group transportation in the Maryland area. I’m not really familiar with it, so, I’ll need to do a bit of research on it but I’m sure I’ll find something reasonable for them!

Nephew Is Going To Law School
Written by admin on January 28, 2010
So, I got this voice mail this afternoon after I got back from lunch from my nephew. He was just saying hi, asking how I was, you know – making conversation and then he told me out of the blue he was going to apply for Law School. I mean, it came as a total shock to me since many of you know he’s got an amazing arm and had a variety of offers to play division one college baseball. Now, really, I don’t care – I want him to do what he wants to do…and if going to law school is what he’s interested in, I totally support that fully. But it was so weird because all he ever did was baseball. He lived it. He breathed it. And I never really heard him talking about Law School, but, he does seem passionate about it. Now it’s just time to start thinking about his law school admission essay. Those are no joke and you really need to take your time with them….I’ll try my best to help him out, but, even I’m not sure how much I can.
