Large Boulder Blocking Traffic

A large boulder blocked traffic along Highway 78 near Ramona Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The boulder fell onto the highway just west of Weekend Villa Road at about 6:15 p.m., according to the CHP. A small pickup truck crashed into the rock, and a traffic alert was issued shortly afterward. No injuries were reported in the crash.
One lane was closed while crews worked to remove the large rock. The traffic alert was still in effect at 10 p.m., according to the CHP’s Web site.
