Another Drunk Driving Situation

This is such a tragedy. People just don’t get it…
A suspected drunk driver is denying he caused a fiery crash that killed a sheriff’s deputy.
Jose Pedro Lopez is being held on $750,000 bail after facing a judge in court Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Lopez was drunk and high on marijuana when he drove the wrong way on Highway 52 in Santee over the weekend.
A deputy tried to stop him and drove on the shoulder to avoid hitting other cars. The emergency lane ran out and the deputy’s SUV fell into a ravine and burst into flames, killing him.
A dispatcher riding with the deputy was also hurt.
