Ring Ring? Mr. Attorney

Written by admin on May 18, 2010

So, this morning I’m awoken to my phone ringing at about, oh, 2:30 AM or so. I glance down and take a look, and see my friends name pop up on my called ID. Now, for a moment, I went “should I answer this…or just ignore it”. I wasn’t trying to be a poor friend, but, I was so tired and really….why was he calling me at 2:30 in the morning anyway. And alas, my final question determined my actions.

I picked up the phone, sleepy eyed, and my first question asking what was wrong…and if he hit me with a “nothing”, I was totally hanging up…haha. But, he told me he got into a little trouble earlier in the evening and is going to be in need of some type of legal representation. I asked what was wrong, but, he gave me a vague answer, so, I don’t know if he was just around somebody he didn’t  want to hear about what happened, or what.

Either way, I got up, got a drink, hopped on the internet and started looking for some type of bench warrant attorneys since I know he’s prone to get into some dumb situations at times and needs proper attorneys and representation.

No Auto Insurance?

Written by admin on May 14, 2010

So yesterday, I’m driving with my friend to the store and somehow we come up on the topic of auto insurance. He mentioned that his brother, who’s going to school in El Paso, drives around without auto insurance. I honestly couldn’t believe it. For one, it’s illegal to not have it and two, it’s pretty stupid to not have it in the case something does go wrong. You don’t want to make a mistake worth thousands and thousands of dollars, do you? I just couldn’t believe it. Anyway, he said his brother just thinks it’s too expensive, and I can agree with that, it is if you don’t do your homework, but you can’t just spend 3 minutes looking around in the phone book and expect to get a great deal. So, I told him, to tell his brother, to get on the internet, type in cheap insurance El Paso, and then do a little homework from there. He’ll be able to find something affordable and not have to deal with the awful headaches of not having auto insurance.

Lakers Sweep Jazz

Written by admin on May 11, 2010

The Los Angeles Lakers played more like they were trying to avoid a sweep rather than complete one.

The Lakers stormed out to a 22-point lead in the first half, then withstood a brief surge by Utah in the third quarter before regaining control in the fourth and winning 111-96 on Monday night, sweeping the second-round series and advancing to the Western Conference finals for the third straight year.

I do have to admit though, I have a soft spot for Jerry Sloan. He’s went through so much and just continues to get stuck every year on the wrong side of the Phil Jackson battle. But, congrats to the Lakers! On to the next one!

Road Improvments In Murrieta? Maybe…

Written by admin on May 11, 2010

Murrieta residents who live in the Los Alamos Hills area are looking north and seeing a possible solution to their rutted-road woes.

More than 80 people live in estate homes set on about 6,000 acres off Los Alamos Road in the northeast corner of the city. The homes are surrounded by large swaths of open land and the homeowners want to maintain the area’s rural character, but are hoping the city will help them make improvements to the private roads that run through their community.

Los Alamos runs along the northern edge of the community and is the only road in the area that is paved. The rest, which offer the only access to and from homes, are dirt roads that in many cases are rutted and uneven —- and on occasion, the residents say, barely passable. Sometimes, they say, they find themselves trapped on their property until a neighbor with a tractor can level the road.

40 Teacher Lay Off In San Marcos

Written by admin on May 11, 2010

Ugh. Really, just ugh.

Trustees in the San Marcos Unified School District approved final layoff notices for 40 teachers Monday night as a step to help offset a projected $15 million budget shortfall in the next school year.

Michael DeVries, president of the San Marcos Educators Association, pleaded with the board to rescind at least some of the layoff notices originally announced on March 8 because several teachers have taken early retirements or resigned since then.

Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Len Judd said the layoffs will save the district about $2 million.

Besides the permanent teachers receiving layoff notices, the district is not rehiring 130 temporary teachers, including 41 who are working full time.

The district last year sent layoff notices to teachers in 50 full-time positions, but later rescinded the notices after the district received federal stimulus money.

Really, it’s just so sad. Teachers are the LAST ones that should be getting this treatment.

I Love Bee’s – But I Need A Bee Removal

Written by admin on May 11, 2010

I love bee’s. They do so much for the environment. However, I don’t love them when they take over a tree in my front yard. Ugh.

Yesterday I was walking to the mailbox when I noticed a high pitched buzz. I looked up and I saw hundred’s of bee’s. I backed up and decided to explore it a little closer, and there it was. Stuck up in the tree was a pretty good size bee hive. So, the first thing I did was run in the house, get on the internet and look for Bee Removal Riverside.

There are a ton of little kids around this area and I don’t want them getting stung, so, hopefully we’ll have no trouble getting this thing removed.

Why Am I Buying These?

Written by admin on May 11, 2010

That’s the first thought I had when I went to the eye doctor over the weekend to pick up a new pair of frames. I just couldn’t believe the price of their eyeglasses. When I first looked at them, I really thought I had some eye problems…they couldn’t have possibly been that high, could they? lol

Anyway, to make a long story short, late last week my frames just…broke. My nice, fancy, expensive frames, broke. What a shocker huh? So obviously, I needed a new pair and where better than the eye doctor, or at least, so I thought. But once I saw the prices, forget that. Then I remembered that my Mom and Dad bought their eyeglasses online at Zenni and they just love their products. They said that the quality is just as good (if not better) than the extremely expensive frames you’ll find at eye doctor offices and they’re at fractions of the price. And when I say that, I literally mean it. They are really cheap and really well built. You don’t have to worry about them snapping or falling apart…they’re built well. In addition to that. the customer service can’t be beat. It’s top notch, so, if you have any questions or concerns, they’ll go out of their way to help you. Such a nice change from what I’m used to.
