A harmonious life is when we live peacefully with our fellow human beings. There are many ways to do it. But for now, let’s focus on these 3 practices:
1. Forgiveness
When we forgive those who have wronged us, we let go of the grudge inside us. That’s a liberating feeling. There’s no point resenting others for their wrongdoings. Nobody’s perfect.
Of course, it’s a process and it may take time. And we have to be true to ourselves. What’s important is that we are doing our best to reach that stage.
Forgiving isn’t just for others, but for our own well-being as well.
2. Contentment
If you’re content, you won’t try to compete with others. Instead, you support them.
Contentment doesn’t mean not aiming progress. It just means that you’re at peace wherever you are or whatever you do.
And when you’re at peace, you treat others amicably and with empathy.
3. Switching Perspectives
We can’t fully understand others if we don’t switch our perspectives. To live a harmonious life, we need to understand different point of views and figure out the reasons why they act in ways we dislike.
It’s not easy. And it takes a lot of effort to practice this every day. But it surely is worth doing.
